Setup guide – Integra Easy Connect 2

Background:
Because there are many components in motion, we've compiled a list outlining requirements, clarifications, and areas of responsibility to ensure the seamless integration between Inlet and the lock system.

Read more about the security principals for Inlet and the connections to locks here.

Practical and Technical Requirements:

  1. The locksmith installs the locks and the installer/technician installs/configures the access control system.

  2. The IT provider supplies the server where the access control system/IEC software can be installed and secures the server with a firewall and access control. See at the bottom of this article for the specifications.

  3. The installer/technician installs the access control system/IEC on the server and configures the access control system (controllers, door environments, readers, etc).

  4. The license is ordered and entered by the installer/technician.

  5. The technician creates a user/operator for Inlet in the access control system that is mapped to a SessionToken IEC2 Config GUI (IDA - Ida.Server.Config.exe), which must have permissions to manage users, readers, and locks via the API.

  6. HTTPS is activated in the IDA Config GUI and certificates are connected. (See separate manual)

  7. Configurations: See manual - 1-986-4115-GB Data Services - IDA Plug Ins.pdf

  8. The IT provider ensures whitelisting of IP addresses and sets up port forwarding from the external port to the internal port to the server so that we can access the API.

  9. See at the bottom for IP addresses and ports.

  10. Inlet needs receive the following to email support@inlet.tech:
    • Customer Name
    • Information on what locks and lock groups Inlet should set up.
    • IEC session token in the format (4f72ba45-49bf-1sr2-v442-f5t54896k23b)
    • Public URL or static IP address to the server.
  11. Inlet retrieves IDs of the card reader objects to configure Inlet with the access control system.
  12. Inlet will inform the top system/booking system that they can test.
  13. Inlet requires at least 2 weeks of testing with the top system/booking system after the installer/provider has completed points 1-8.

IP addresses that need to be whitelisted:
Required: 52.164.185.179 and 79.160.124.141

Ports that need to be mapped:
The standard endpoint address is 9000 (http/https). The port can be changed if desired. (Change via Ida.Server.Config.exe, see manual "1-986-4115-GB Data Services - IDA Plug Ins.pdf" )
