Use of a Proxy Server

If desired customers or It departments can configure and manage their own proxy server to handle HTTPS encrypted traffic. This setup enables the proxy to receive secure traffic and then forward it to the designated address and port of the lock server. By implementing this configuration, customers gain full control over all aspects of the communication flow, both within their internal network and externally. It's important to note that the Inlet must ultimately have a publicly accessible URL to ensure seamless connectivity to the server.

Important note: Inlet does not design or implement this.

For locations with an on-premise server we have the same requirements no matter what security has been implemented by the customer:

IP addresses that need to be whitelisted:
Required: 52.164.185.179
Optional: 79.160.124.141 (for debugging and support)

Ports that need to be mapped:
External TCP port 5003 to internal TCP port 5003 on the Server.
