Setup guide – Nimly (Easy Access)

Background:
Because there are many components in motion, we've compiled a list outlining requirements, clarifications, and areas of responsibility to ensure the seamless integration between Inlet and the lock system.

For this particular lock, there need to be coordination between Safe4, Nimly and the installer before Inlet can do anything.

Lock and gateway Installation Process (Installer and Nimly):
If you already have a technician account, skip ahead to step 6.
  1. Install the locks in a normal way.
  2. Buy and install the connect module
  3. Buy and install a Nimly Pro Gateway (This gateway must be purchased directly from Nimly)
  4. IMPORTANT: Select "Rental Unit" When setting up the Gateway.
  5. The installer/technician needs to contact Nimly (preferably through our support@nimly.no or contact@nimly.no email) to set up an installer account/email. This email can not be registered in the nimly app beforehand.
  6. Download the Nimly app.
  7. Open the app.
  8. Tap 5 times on the logo to open Technician Login.
    • The logo is on the login screen. You'll have to logout first if you're already logged in with your normal user account. 
  9. Enter your technician e-mail and password (if you do not have one, return to step #4)
  10. Choose a new password.
  11. Select new installation.
  12. Select country.
  13. Select Rental Unit.
  14. Enter Organization info.
  15. Enter admin info for the caretaker of the setup.
  16. Follow the rest of the installation process in the application.
  17. Click "Add device" in the application and find the Nimly door lock you want to add, then follow the instructions in the application.
 
After all locks are installed and commissioned, the installer needs to complete the following 2 steps for Rental Service Activation:
  1. A technician can then enable the Rental Service one of 2 ways:
    1. Create a new profile with the organization info from the installation.
    2. Select from a list of existing profile(s) connected to the organization number used during the installation.
  2. A verification code will be presented in the app that must be provided to Inlet.

 

Finally, the project manager needs to perform this final step:

  1. Send Inlet the following to email support@inlet.tech (using PrivateBin ):
    • Customer name
    • Nimly verification code
  2. Inlet retrieves the locks to configure Inlet functionality.
  3. Inlet provides information to the top system/booking system that they can test.
  4. Inlet requires at least 2 weeks of testing with the top system/booking system after the installer has completed the above points.
