With digital locks, guests receive access directly on their phone—no keys needed.

Ways to Unlock the Door

1. Tap to Open (Pulse Access)

  • Guest receives a link via SMS or email

  • They tap the link to unlock the door

  • Works from anywhere (online connection to the lock)

Best for: Easy, app-free access


2. Code (PIN)

  • Guest receives a code

  • Enter it on the keypad to unlock

  • Valid only during their stay

Best for: Simple and reliable access


3. Mobile App

  • Guest downloads the lock provider’s app

  • Access is sent to the app

  • Unlock via Bluetooth

Best for: Frequent users or staff


How Guests Receive Access

SMS (most common):

  • Link for opening the door

  • OR a PIN code

Email:

  • Same as SMS, with more details if needed

Booking platform:

  • On the users reservation

  • Dashboard or similar

All messages can be customized with hotel name, language, and instructions.
